Backup and recovery

Backups that have actually been restored.

Replicated onsite and to the cloud, and restored on a schedule so you find out they work before you need them, not after.

What a real backup posture looks like.

Four parts, and skipping any one of them is how businesses lose data.

Replication in two places.

A full image of your systems, held onsite for fast recovery and in the cloud for the day the building is the problem. Historical versions, so you can go back past the point where something went wrong.

Failures get fixed, not logged.

A backup that silently stopped completing three weeks ago is worse than no backup, because you were counting on it. When one of ours fails, somebody acts on it that day. A log entry nobody reads is not a safety net.

Restore testing.

We restore from backup on a schedule and confirm the result. This is the step almost everyone skips and the only one that proves the rest worked.

A plan for the week after.

Recovery order, who does what, how your team works while the office is unusable. In South Florida this is not hypothetical, and we have been planning for it since 1994.

Who this is for

  • Any business whose operations stop if its data does
  • Firms with regulatory retention obligations
  • Organizations that have never tested a restore
  • Businesses in a storm-exposed location, which is all of us

When did you last test a restore?

If the answer is "I’m not sure," that’s the reason to call.
