We are seeing a wave of users who are being forced to upgrade to Windows 10. They get a pop up that they can get the free Windows 10 upgrade installed, however, even if they click the "X" to close the windows, it then installs!
While Windows 10 has proven to be mostly stable and an improvement, there are times it breaks the computer, select programs won't run after or older hardware may not work. At a minimum, the upgrade takes a significant amount of time.
Some media outlets are reporting this issue calling it a "nasty trick".
In general, we are recommending the upgrade before the July 29, 2016 deadline when Microsoft claims it will no longer be free. However, it is clear it is causing issues and concerns.
