We are excited to announce that both David and Molly have this month passed their Hyper V certification!
They both put in an enormous amount preparation time, researching and practicing then ultimately sat a very brutal test which they both passed, not that we ever doubted the result.
Between them they already have tons of other certifications. To mention just a few, David has the very tough MCSE and Molly is a certified SonicWall Firewall/Security expert. They are both hungry to achieve yet more and are constantly researching new technology to apply to our clients.
We strive to be a truly cutting edge outfit, so that when other IT firms can’t deal with something, they often come to us to help them.
What is Hyper V?
It is a server hypervisor that enables consolidation of a single physical server into many virtual servers. Each virtual server sharing the hardware resources of the host server and powered by Hyper-V. Hyper-V operates both as a standalone solution and as an addition to Windows Server 2008 R2 and was built to improve server utilization and reduce capital costs for buying an in-house physical server. Hyper-V isolates part of a physical machine into child partitions and allocates them to different guest operating systems, with Windows Server 2008 acting as the primary host/parent. Hyper-V also assigns appropriate hardware and software resources for each of the guest operating system it’s hosting because they don’t have direct access to the raw computer hardware resources and rely on Hyper-V.
How does Hyper V help our clients?
Very simply put and in a nutshell, it enables/empowers them to do more with less equipment which is therefore less expense, with faster disaster recovery, easier migrations and allows systems to fail over and be redundant.
A very large part of what we do is train, study and master new technology in order to stay ahead of the curve. Being proactive as opposed to merely reactive and we are very excited about this.
What’s next?
Helping firms to become even more productive. We are the leaders in taking more to the cloud and now couldn’t be a better time to make such a move with the arrival of hurricane season.
We are always here to help and advise firms to be more productive, with fewer problems and even make work fun.
