With hurricane season fading into history yet again, we can relax knowing our network and data are safe again. The dangerous storms have come and gone and we can focus on the next item on the to-do list. We’ve successfully saved our data and our jobs…or have we?
Although storms and weather get a lot of attention for the damage and outages they cause, there is another, more subtle danger that can be just as catastrophic to your network and to your business.

You've worked with it for years. You know more about it than you do about your favorite pet. But do you really know your network? How many user accounts do you have that are no longer in use? Do you know how many times you've installed your licensed software? Have you recently looked into those errors on your workstations?

Unfortunately, this is not the plot for the next Mission: Impossible movie. It is actually the most recent big spyware attack, called Ransomware.
